Re: Dark Earth Timeline Discussion

Spotted quite a few entertaining and amusing Easter Eggs in the latest instalment. Nice work. :D

Re: Superbowl halftime show

That the Congressman who has called for it is from Florida doesn’t surprise me. 🤣

Re: Superbowl halftime show

I don’t think whatever the merits of the half-time show that it merits a Congressional investigation. Unless Congress has nothing else to do this week?

I certainly don't relish the idea of two different log ins. I've had to reset some passwords recently and the last thing I need is yet another!

Re: Suggestions & Requests

I always keep my mod posts separate from comment posts and colour the former red, so that they stand out. A separate mod account may not be practical, as it would probably mean giving login details to more than one person for the same account.

The Canberra was one of the greatest aircraft of all time. Whatever the TL is.

Re: "ST: Starfleet Academy"....

I was not initially a fan of Sam. But, she’s grown on me. Her getting absolutely smashed was hilarious! 🤣 I agree with it being great to have a link back to DS9. Was lovely to have the theme over the credits. I did have one ongoing complaint about a series I otherwise enjoy. Two service academies ac...

Re: "ST: Starfleet Academy"....

The logic bit? 🤔

The Klingon character’s backstory in Ep.4 is an interesting allegory. I did like the relationship between Ake and the Klingon leader. The space ‘battle’ was also nice.

I’ve not heard any news about cancellation. I think Trek Culture would have posted about it.

Re: "ST: Starfleet Academy"....

I see people are trying to apply logic to a TV (well streaming) show. :D I find that sometimes it's best to switch off that part of your brain and just enjoy it. I did get Police Academy 3 vibes from Episode 3 - two rival academies in a prank war. Though in ST:A's case, it's not because one may be s...

Re: "ST: Starfleet Academy"....

Episode 2 was better, IMVHO. I do like Holly Hunter. Having her be a half-Lanthanite is clever. Gina Yashere is brilliant as Cadet Master Lura Thok. It’s always a pleasure to see Robert Picardo’s Doctor. I thought that Paul Giamatti played a very good villain, who has a genuine and justified beef wi...

Re: Postal...

I’ve noticed that a lot of delivery drivers have developed the habit of simply leaving stuff on our doorstep. Without so much as knocking on the door or ringing the doorbell. As we’re right on the street that’s not great. Sometimes we only realise that there has been a delivery when checking our ema...
